After that post published, I started thinking about ways to get even more mileage out of your reviews. Perhaps there are some that you have never thought of.
3 Ways to Get Creative with Showcasing Your Business Reviews
If you haven’t been using these ideas, why not give them a try?
1. Add Reviews to Your Services Page
We have the tendency to add reviews to our homepage, or maybe a special “What Our Clients Say About Us” page. Those are both good ideas and I’m not suggesting that you replace them. Or placing product reviews on your product page.
But reviews (or testimonials) can also work well if you offer services, too. As an example, let’s take a photographer who does wedding, baby and event photography. Naturally they should have a page dedicated to each one of these. And if someone raves about what you did at their wedding, well, put it where it belongs.
2. Place Them by Team or Staff Profiles
If you are a smaller business, whether it’s just yourself, you and your partner, or a small team, I always recommend that you have an About page. Potential customers want to know the people behind the service. So consider adding reviews—at the end of each profile— that are specific to yourself or someone else in your business.
For example, you have a support staff. Imagine adding a positive review from an actual customer on the service they received from them. It’s not only great for potential customers or clients, but it recognizes your employees’ good work.
3. Customize Your Sidebars
If you use sidebars and dedicate a space to your reviews, don’t randomly spread them around. There are plugins such as Jetpack and Content Aware Sidebars that help you strategically control which widgets show up on specific posts and pages. And with the Business Review plugin, you can create collections.
Let’s take the example of the photographer again. Say she has a blog and writes posts with tips on how to photograph weddings, babies and events. With the combination of the plugins above, you could make sure that when you publish a post on wedding photography, reviews specific to wedding customers would be guaranteed to appear in the sidebar.
